Did you know that mental training is a free and important tool tool?
posted: Dec 8th, 2014 It has been an honor for me to have this "Turning Points" column in Blue Skies Mag, and I still don't really know why SkyGod seems to believe that I am worthy of the monthly publications. However, even if I were not writing I would still read the stories of others. I have been reading the skydiving magazines ever since I came into the sport, which was at a time when the print magazines were the only option to get information and find out what was going on in other parts of the skydiving world. I love the columns of my fellow writers (Sydney, Melanie, "Princess," James), which are always my first... (more)

Did you know that NMP-PCH Hayabusa expect a 28-average winning level in 2016?
posted: Dec 6th, 2014 The award ceremony of the 5th Dubai International Parachuting Championship took place on Friday evening and concluded this year's event. The actual competition was completed on Thursday, and other Formation Skydiving events were scheduled for Friday. Craig Girard organized the next anniversary jump, as the DIPC always coincides with the celebrations for Dubai's birthday, the 43rd this year. A selected group of Formation Skydiving celebrities in Dubai formed a 43 in freefall, and the Sun Path Products NSL News will... (more)

Did you know that the new French Girls have an even better starting point than in 2013?
posted: Dec 5th, 2014 The Sun Path Products NSL News story on 20 November 2014 had explained why the French Girls seem to have a good start into the next 2-year cycle. New member Clementine Le Bohec impressed the audience with a 24.7 average at the FAI World Cup of Indoor Skydiving as a member of the Deep Blue reunion lineup. The other new team member, Anais Maillet, now had her opportunity to show that the new French Girls lineup will be very competitive and ready to... (more)

Did you know that Black Cat was the only team at the 5th DIPC without any penalties?
posted: Dec 4th, 2014 All Formation Skydiving events are complete at the 5th Dubai International Parachuting Championship, while Canopy Piloting will continue on Friday, when the award ceremony will take place, as well. Evolution did finish with a 25+ average for the first time after a good Round 10. NMP-PCH Hayabusa tied the 19-pointer and finished in 2nd place after a good competition with SDC Rhythm XP, who posted the highest outdoor meet average in team history. New Hayabusa member Jeroen "Bob" Nollet has shown that he is ready to... (more)

Did you know that Evolution wins with new team record averages in Dubai?
posted: Dec 4th, 2014 The 5th Dubai International Parachuting Championship will be concluded on Thursday in all Formation Skydiving events. In fact, the eight rounds in 4-way VFS were completed on Wednesday, and Evolution won and takes home the first $15,000 of cash. There was obviously not much competition in 4-way VFS, however, Evolution still did well without any performance pressure. The 19.1 average in Dubai is the new team record and more than a point higher compared to this year's world meet where the Evolution VFS lineup won the... (more)

Did you know that Raykipo has groupies from Canada?
posted: Dec 3rd, 2014 The 8-way competition of the 5th Dubai International Parachuting Championship continues to offer interesting changes round by round. France, the leader from the start, has not won a round since the 19-pointer in Round 6. Dubai Asaar posted the highscore for Round 7, and Russia won Round 8. Everything is still possible between the three top teams. The same three teams were not happy with their last round, and each thought that they would lose some ground. Eventually, not much changed at all, and Russia gained a... (more)
