Did you know that Dirty Low and Counterpoint FX pushed each other to new highscores and team record averages?
posted: Jul 30th, 2014 The Northern California Skydiving League returned to Skydance Skydiving for its fourth meet of the 2014 outdoor season. Seven teams came out to jump on a beautiful and very warm summer day in Davis, CA. The weather was perfect, and the teams got to jumping as early as possible to beat the heat. Meet coach Samer Haija stayed cool on the ground helping teams engineer and dirt dive, while judge Sharon Hawkins enjoyed the comfort of the air-conditioned judging station. The Rookie class had three teams, including NCSL regulars Last Minute, who competed with substitute Brian Naiman last weekend,... (more)

Did you know that three reigning 4-way world champions joined the Indoor Cloud League competition at iFLY Orlando last Thursday?
posted: Jul 29th, 2014 Things may change as quickly in the Indoor Cloud League world as it happens at a traditional outdoor competition. Yesterday's Sun Path Products NSL News story reported the Northern California Skydiving League as the new leader after the NCSL Tunnel Kicker on July 9th. The NCSL scores and videos were posted after the Florida Skydiving League and the Czech Republic Skydiving League groups were already on the leaderboard. The Florida group had their second FSL Tunnel Kicker on July 17th but added only one single point to the total after the... (more)

Did you know that Rob Radez, Don Burnette, Baat Enosh and Alan Lo posted a new AAA Class Indoor Cloud League record score?
posted: Jul 28th, 2014 The Northern California Skydiving League group at iFLY SF Bay shocked the Indoor Cloud League community when NCSL Director Lori Connor submitted the videos of the latest NCSL Tunnel Kicker, which was held before the outdoor competition last weekend. The 33-pointer for the AAA Class sequence (L,C,6,9) left the other AAA Class lineups simply in the dust and was the major contribution to the iFLY SF Bay account for the month of July. iFLY SF Bay is currently in 1st place, one point ahead of the Florida Skydiving League group at iFLY Orlando. The... (more)

Did you know that Pro Team defended Finland's national 4-way title by one single point?
posted: Jul 27th, 2014 The story of Finland's national 4-way team in the last decade is the story of the battle between Tigers and Pro Team, and it seems to be a never-ending story. It begins in 2001 when Kimmo Pohjola and his future wife Outi Palmen formed the first Pro Team lineup (with Tomi Kallunki, Petri Lehtinen, Nina Kivilompolo, Matti Eskonniemi on camera) for the A/Intermediate Class competition in Finland. It took five years until the 2006 lineup (Henrik Lakela, Laura Miettinen, Kimmo Pohjola, Outi Pohjola, Niina Pöllänen, Matti Eskonniemi still on camera) eventually won the national championships in... Did you know that the Southern Skydiving League creeper competition was fun and confidential?
posted: Jul 26th, 2014 Creeper competitions have been around at event sites as long as 4-way teams and competitors have been using the training tools to prepare better for training and competition jumps. Of course, they only take place when the weather does not allow any jumping from planes. Usually, it also takes a while until all hope for any competition round is gone, and all other activity options have been exhausted. Then, the announcement of a creeper competition often re-initiates energy and excitement levels. The Sun Path Products NSL News reported a creeper competition on 21... (more)

Did you know that Elsinore GT wants both titles?
posted: Jul 26th, 2014 Elsinore GT is still on top of the AAA Class leaderboard, which will change this weekend when new scores will be posted. The Sun Pat Products NSL News mentioned on 21 July 2014 that the team's reunion will get special attention soon. Sydney Williams and USPA/SCSL judge Steve Miller now provided the needed information, and it seems like the rumor of Elsinore GT’s demise has been greatly exaggerated. Following the USPA Nationals 2005, the EGT members of 2002 - 2005 just went different ways to pursue other interests. Citing work... (more)
