posted: Sep 16th, 2013 Arizona Airspeed's new lineup missed the 20-pointer club membership with the 19-pointer in Round 9, and all team members are now focusing on the 8way competition.
The Golden Knights are out of reach for Airspeed and Paraclete XP8 both. However, the traditional duel between those two 8way lineups is just as exciting as it would be for the gold medals. It could be even more exciting than ever before, as XP8 has a very strong lineup this year.

posted: Sep 16th, 2013 Arizona Airspeed's new lineup survived the 3-block sequence in Round 8 with a 20-pointer, and the judging for Round 8 is in progress. In the meantime, the 8way teams have received their competition draw and went straight to work.
Once again, there is also a jump-off in the AA/Intermediate Class competition. That's no surprise, as tight as the leaderboard has been. Two local MWSL teams (SDC Jetstream Tango, CSC Survival Instinct) were in the race for the medals, but only Jetstream Tango made it to the jump-off round by one single point.

posted: Sep 16th, 2013 DNR member Ben Liston, original Center Inside of Mass Defiance, said that Round 7 would be the last opportunity for teams to improve their standings significantly. The Golden Knights did exactly that and seem to have secured the bronze medal position before going into the last three rounds.

posted: Sep 16th, 2013 Sunday and Monday were two completely different days at the USPA Nationals 2013. Sunday was a washout, and Monday morning has the most beautiful weather. It is cold though, and the teams will have to move fast to warm up...
The competition begins with the AAA Class teams (Open/Advanced) since the AA/Intermediate Class teams are one round ahead. Plan is to complete the 4way competition today and begin with 8way.

posted: Sep 15th, 2013 The AA/Intermediate Class competition at the USPA Nationals has always been exciting and included great battles for the medal positions. However, this year's situation after Round 7 is unique in the history of the event.
It has never been the case yet that the team in 8th place is still in medal contention, only four points away from the bronze medal position. The race for gold, silver and bronze medals is far from being over with three more rounds to go.

posted: Sep 15th, 2013 The skies over the Chicagoland are not looking pretty today. It is grey and cold and rainy. The teams at the USPA Nationals 2013 are on a weather hold until noon, which could be extended if nothing changes.
There was a good side to it, as the judges were able to catch up with yesterday's action. The scores for Round 6 in all three traditional 4way categories (Open/Advanced) and Round 7 in the AA/Intermediate Class were posted during the weather hold, and the leaderboards are up-to-date now.
