Did you know that Julien Guiho is the best swooping Formation Skydiving competitor this year?
posted: Nov 13th, 2014 The 5th FAI World Canopy Piloting Championships 2014 were recently held at Skydive City in Zephyrhills, Florida. The Sun Path Products NSL News covers almost exclusively Formation Skydiving competition and events, and the swooping meet does not really fit into the SKYLEAGUE.COM territory.
However, it would not be the first time at all that Canopy Piloting and Formation Skydiving competition have something in common, and the connection comes with the athletes. Former 4-way world champions Shannon Pilcher, Ian Bobo and Jonathan Tagle (DeLand Fire - 2006) made the news here and there when they... (more)
Did you know that the Bad Boys attend their 12th 2014 meet in Austin this week?
posted: Nov 12th, 2014 The November competition of the Indoor Cloud League is in full swing by now, and the Hurricane Factory in Prague generated its first scores and videos for the six sequences.
It is no surprise by now that the Bad Boys outscored iFLY Orlando's and SkyVenture New Hampshire's AAA and AA Class lineups, and the performance of the Czech national 4-way team looks sharp and ready for competition. The Bad Boys have another 10-round competition on the agenda this week, and they seem to be well prepared.
A Czech delegation (Bad Boys, HF Chicks) has... (more)
Did you know that the Golden Knights finished the 2014 season on the world's top level in 4-way Women?
posted: Nov 11th, 2014 The duel between France and the USA for gold medals in 4-way Women has been covered by the Sun Path Products NSL News ever since the current Golden Knights lineup came together for the 2011 season.
There has been a lot of drama in those battles for the top spot, and the most famous one was probably at the World Cup 2013 when the Deep Blue Defenders and the Golden Knights were still tied after a jump-off round and had to go through the rules book to break the tie.
The latest battle took place at the FAI... (more)
Did you know that Formation Skydiving competition has a new world order?
posted: Nov 10th, 2014 The Formation Skydiving competition world has a new order. That's how the previous Turning Points column began. However, the main topic was not the athletic part of this year's World Championships. That's coming now, and then I will shut up with the world meet thoughts fora little while.
The preview of the world meet in Prostejov in the August edition of Blue Skies Mag was headlined "4-Way History in Jeopardy." Well, that's actually an oxymoron. History can never be in jeopardy, as it already happened and has become a fact. However, fact is now the historic world order in 4-way competition has... (more)
Did you know that Janine Tillenburg is the new AtomiX member?
posted: Nov 9th, 2014 It was not too long ago that the German 4-way team AtomiX made the Sun Path Products NSL News headline.
The story on 15 October 2014 reported that AtomiX finished with the third consecutive 13.8 average within a month at the ESL Championship 2014.
The story mentioned that team members Andrea Kleinschmidt and Peter Ingenhaag would still have one more event on the calendar this year. They traveled to Eloy, Arizona, in October where German skydivers... (more)
Did you know that James Hall was the big winner at iFLY Orlando's Indoor Cloud League night?
posted: Nov 8th, 2014 The Florida Skydiving League teams and competitors came together at iFLY Orlando the same day when the teams in the Czech Republic launched their indoor winter season.
It was a much larger group at the Hurricane Factory last Thursday with 14 teams, while the Florida group generated five lineups at iFLY Orlando. However, the tasks were different ones, as the Czech teams completed a whole 10-round draw when the Florida lineups worked on the November sequences of the Indoor Cloud League.
Two new participants (Paul Neely, Brandon Sbordone)... (more)
