Did you know that the 4-way Open Class competition at the USPA Nationals has several interesting topics?
posted: Sep 12th, 2014 This time of the year brings meet after meet to teams and competitors and to the audience. Most of the national championships are being held at the end of the summer season in the western hemisphere.
Whenever the world meets or world cups take place in one of the same countries, the national teams have a busier agenda than all other teams, and it is not unusual at all that the nationals take place after the international events.

Did you know that teams from Texas might be the top contenders for Advanced Class medals?
posted: Sep 12th, 2014 The Advanced Class competition at the USPA Nationals 2014 uses the same dive pool and sequences as the Open Class teams. It is somehow the official "amateur championship" in the USA, even though several Open Class teams usually perform on the same scoring level, and the best recreational 4-way competitors join forces to compete in the Open Class with very impressive scores, as well.
Teams volunteer to sign up either in the Open or the Advanced Class competition. The USPA rules require only the winners of previous... (more)

Did you know that NSL-TV features the Airspeed videos of the world meet?
posted: Sep 4th, 2014 The German Nationals 2014 are still bothered by bad weather. The 4-way teams were at least fortunate enough to get in the air once on Wednesday afternoon. Round 1 was completed for all teams before the clouds came back to cover up the German skies.
The Sun Path Products NSL News mentioned with the first update from Germany that Arizona Airspeed's team videographer Justin Price is filming the leader in the open class competition, Airbus, and that he kindly provided the footage of Airspeed's competition jumps at the... (more)

In fact, both events connect directly with each other in many ways, even though one connection is missing. The German national 4-way team Paratec-Saar is not competing at the national championships, due to lack of additional vacation time for some of the team members.
Paratec-Saar had a very... (more)
