posted Oct 20th, 2012 - The Virginia Parachute Council added the latest scores of the 2012 season to the 115 different leaderboards in the NSL database this year. It is the first time for the NSL News that there are more than 100 different scoreboards with results from many different parts of the world.

Skydive Orange hosted the third and last VPC meet of the year with four participating teams in the AA Class. VPC Director Elizabeth Kang reported that Skydive Suffolk and the Virginia Skydiving Center each sent a team to Skydive Orange to compete with the two home teams. She said that it was a busy day for club owned and operated Skydive Orange.

Board member and club secretary Matt Nuckols, who competed with the second local team Grins and Giggles, gave her credit for running the meet: "The loads were all full, but the weather was great and we got through four rounds of competition. Thanks to everyone who came out to make this happen and a special thanks to Dr. Liz who organized the event!"

The busy meet day was supported by great weather. The home team Orange Tech had a slow start but recovered quickly to finish in 1st place with a 3-point lead. Elizabeth Kang said that none of the teams had attended a previous meet with the same lineup, and the competition was wide open.

However, Invertica actually attended the team's third meet this year and visited each of the three hosting DZ's in Virginia. Christy Hite was the team's new Point at this competition.

Elizabeth Kang also gave the visiting team from Skydive Suffolk, Banshee, special credit: "We very much appreciated the effort of Suffolk Banshee who had never even done 4way before and drove from the south of Virginia to participate." It's a big step from scratch right to the AA Class where all VPC teams competed in, and the four rounds included five blocks...
