This week's Rookie Class winner Kamerun

posted Feb 8th, 2013 - The same 13 teams who competed at the January indoor competition of the Czech Republic Skydiving League came back to the Sportflight Arena in Prague this week on Thursday. It was the fourth of the six indoor meets that organizer Jan Klapka scheduled to keep his 4way teams and competitors in shape throughout the winter.

The three AAA Class teams in this event series have settled in their positions and not changed the rankings since the first meet in November 2012. Hvezdy is the only team in the AA Class and matched the 12.1 average of January exactly this week.

The situation in the A Class and Rookie Class events is completely different. The four teams in each category have been switching positions meet by meet and keep pushing each other. The new Impact team in the Rookie Class started with an 11.1 average in November 2012 and came back in December with an 11.4 average. 13.8 was Impact's winning average in January, and this week's 15.6 average was only good enough for the 2nd place. Team Kamerun was the best Rookie Class team with a 16.2 average after 9.4 in January and 7.4 in December last year.

Charging in the A Class: Best of Relative

The A Class competition has seen three winners in the four meets. Only the Sky Walkers have not won a meet yet but had placed 2nd in January.

Soft 4way has taken control over the A Class leaderboard after joining the indoor meets at the January event and won both meets this year with exactly the same 14.5 average. Best of Relative seems to be ready to challenge the A Class winner of January and February. The team broke through the 10-average level for the first time in January (10.6) and went from 4th to 2nd place in the A Class with the 13.3 average this week. Soft 4way may face serious opposition at the next meet of the winter series in March.

Kill Bill was the only VFS 4way team this week. Skydive Arena's staff team is probably preparing for the Dynamic 4way competition at the World Challenge 2013 where Honza Turek, Tyler Baird, Vaclav Dedek and Vojta Fikar will represent the Czech Republic freeflyers.
