Did You Know...

... that a Cool video features the Tomscat Trophy 2013 action?

Cool Runnings with coach Gary Smith
posted Jun 18th, 2013 - The NSL News goes back one more time to the Tomscat Trophy for a very good reason. A new video of the event is showing all teams in meet action and other activities during the event.

Cool Runnings and Murphy Mania joined artistic forces to create the video as a memory of the event. Cool Runnings Center Inside Joost van Heijenoort said that the teams all agreed to provide the competition footage for an event movie that would be shown at the Saturday night party.

Joost van Heijenoort and Murphy Mania's videographer Remon van der Zwaag then worked together to edit the ground and air footage during the event. Result was a colorful and entertaining video that features the Tomscat Trophy 2013. It also includes a lot of grey color in freefall...BORDER=0 height=38 width=630

Cool Runnings scoring history
Joost van Heijenoort prepared the video project before the meet began. He did not know at this point in time that he would have a very good reason to keep the Tomscat Trophy 2013 in very good memories. Cool Runnings achieved the benchmark goal for the first year in the AAA Class competition and left behind the 10-average level.

It has been a long road for Cool Runnings from the first 4.0 meet average in the Dutch Rookie Class of 2006 to the 10.6 average in the AAA Class last weekend. Joost van Heijenoort admitted that he was proud of the achievement: "I can tell you that we were very pleased about that, even more because the draw was not that fast."

He also acknowledged that the coaching work by Solly Williams and Gary Smith was very helpful for his team: "Somehow working with Solly and Gary paid of..."

Cool Runnings with coach Solly Williams
Cool Runnings has put some pressure on themselves now after the new team record average. The Dutch Nationals 2013 are still coming up on the team's meet schedule this year, which will be the time to confirm the new performance and scoring level.

The 2013 season will still not be over then. Cool Runnings plans to collect points for the Netherlands at the ESL Championship 2013. Cool Runnings won the AA Class competition last year and contributed heavily to the total score of the Dutch ESL delegation.

The video also includes competition jumps of AAA Class winner Thunder, and the NSL News will follow up with more Thunder information later.
