Did You Know...

... that XL and Thunder were training at Bodyflight on Wednesday evening?

4Astrophe from Canada at Bodyflight Bedford
posted Apr 3rd, 2014 - It's about time to turn the Sun Path Products NSL News attention directly to the World Challenge 2014. The NSL office is set up at Bodyflight Bedford, and the live coverage from the competition site begins with a video clip that was recorded on Wednesday evening.

Four teams were training when the Sun Path Products NSL News arrived at Bodyflight Bedford: XL, Thunder ISR, Creeps, 4GetIt and 4Astrophe. The news update on 11 March 2014 had reported the XL lineup for the World Challenge 2014, and it was correct information. Thomas Hughes, Steve Hamilton, Pete Allum and Brian Johnson are in Bedford to go after medals and cash.

XL has scheduled the usual training time of 1.5 hours in the wind tunnel right before the meet, and it began last night. XL's Center Inside, Thomas Hughes, who is flying Center Outside for Arizona Airspeed, is also coaching Thunder. Both teams had their training sessions scheduled for the same evening time.BORDER=0 height=57 width=630

More space on the ground floor for creeping: Paul Mayer (right)
Bodyflight Bedford looks different again this year. Host Paul Mayer has been improving his facilities and adding new features year by year. This time, he presents a new buffet area to serve better lunches and snacks during the day. He is also prepared for a larger and still growing crowd by having removed walls and office space on the building's top level with the flying chamber.

In addition, he created more space in the basement that teams and competitors can use for flying preparations on creepers or just hang out and relax. He will need it, as Bodyflight Bedford will be more crowded than ever before.

There is more training scheduled for teams on Thursday morning, including XL and Thunder. The official training session for all teams begins at 5:00 PM. The competition draw is scheduled for Friday morning, and Round 1 will follow an hour later.
