... that Infra Red Band is showing the planned progression?

Sunny Wind at the Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship 2014
posted May 7th, 2014 - The Sun Path Products NSL News story on 22 April 2014 introduced the Russian national team in the female 4way category, Infra Red Band. The Russian top team Sunny Wind made the headlines on 17 October 2013, with a follow-up story on 28 October 2013.

Sunny Wind had the Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship 2014 on the competition schedule for this year and finished with a 17.9 average in DeLand at the beginning of March.

Valery Gredasov (Point) and Alexey Nevorotov (Tail) are the founders and sponsors of Sunny Wind and extended the lineup to be more flexible for training and competition schedule in 2014. Valery Gredasov competed with Valentin Ilin, Alexander Tychinskiy and Vladimir Ostanin at the Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship 2014, and he came back in the lineup for the Russian Cup 2014 last weekend.

Coach Valentin Ilin with Infra Red Band
Infra Red Band and Sunny Wind both used the opportunity to collect more competition practice last weekend. It was the first outdoor meet for Infra Red Band this year, and the first one at all for the new lineup, after an indoor meet in February.

It was the second outdoor competition for Sunny Wind, after the ten rounds in DeLand, and the meet in Russia was cut short due to bad weather.

The competition draw for the first five rounds was technically challenging, and the Russian teams could not take advantage of the faster second half of the meet. Only one team was able to complete Round 6, and the meet was officially over after five rounds.

Original a.team4way lineup of 2012
Sunny Wind was the best trained and strongest team at the Russian Cup, even though Valery Gredasov and Alexey Nevorotov each get only half of the team training. The 2nd place was taken by a.team4way who are going into the team's 3rd year with a new 2013 lineup.

Infra Red Band is making the progress that the team was hoping for after the spring training camp in DeLand. The new lineup was still far behind a.team4way and 4th-place finisher 2XL at the indoor meet in February. Infra Red Band now tied a.team4way in three of the four rounds and placed ahead of 2XL at the outdoor competition.

Team coach Valentin Ilin, Center Outside for Sunny Wind, must be pleased with the Infra Red Band progression and now has to get both teams ready for the national championships, which are scheduled after the World Meet 2014. Infra Red Band will also make the trip to the Czech Republic before.
