Did You Know...

... that SDC Rhythm XP brings coaching and new instructional tools not only to the Midwest teams?

posted Jul 17th, 2014 - Eight teams of the Midwest Skydiving League contributed scores to last weekend's overall leaderboard, which is now complete. At least one MWSL team competed in each of the four traditional NSL outdoor categories at Chicagoland Skydiving, and only CSC Survival Instinct had no internal MWSL competition in the AAA Class.

Survival Instinct's new 2014 lineup had to look at the overall leaderboard to compare their scores for the very challenging first four rounds of last weekend's competition draw with other AAA Class teams in France and the United Kingdom. The MWSL team must have been pleased with the results on the international stage.

The internal MWSL leaderboard needed a few adjustments, as the teams completed different numbers of rounds with different totals at Chicagoland, while the teams are ranked according to their averages after all completed rounds on the overall leaderboard.

SDC Rhythm XP 2009 lineup
JaNette Lefkowitz brought once again the SDC Rhythm XP coaching to the meet at Chicagoland. Rhythm even offers additional coaching tools these days, as the two samples of their instructional videos demonstrate above. The visual instructions offer the beginners in Formation Skydiving competition access to valuable information.

The meet participation at Chicagoland has increased significantly, and just as much as at Skydive Chicago, ever since the SDC Rhythm XP members accepted previous MWSL Director Alan Butt's offer to bring in their skills and experiences to the MWSL meets.

It happened only two times in the past that eight teams competed at Chicagoland (September 2009, August 2010) before SDC Rhythm XP attracted ten teams to the July meet last year. Skydive Chicago, Rhythm's home DZ, is still hosting a few more teams at the MWSL meets, however, it is getting closer.BORDER=0 height=64 width=630

One of the 8-team meets, the one in August 2009, had SDC Rhythm XP on the leaderboard in the AAA Class. The SDC Furies offered AAA Class competition at Chicagoland, while only CSC Survival Instinct was on the leaderboard in this category last weekend.

Shannon Sweet trained and competed with the SDC Furies in 2009. She was the Center Outside for the System4tic Ch4os lineup as a player coach last weekend. The new A Class team eXtreme had the Hot Pink D-Bags as a direct opponent in a tight A Class competition, where both teams increased their meet averages significantly.

SDC Jetstream Tango was still a Rookie Class team in 2009 and is now posting the highest scores of the Midwest Skydiving League in the AA Class. New Rookie Class team SkyKnights PAC Attack posted a team best for a single round with the 8-pointer in Round 2. The MWSL teams meet again at Skydive Chicago in August.
