Did You Know...

... that Deb Correia can be proud of July's Northwest Skydiving League group at iFLY Seattle?

Florida Indoor Cloud League competitors at iFLY Orlando last Thursday
posted Aug 12th, 2014 - The Indoor Cloud League competition for August has started, while the Sun Path Products NSL News still catches up with July scores, videos and stories. Deb Correia reported from her Northwest Skydiving League group at iFLY Seattle that she did not have her usual coaching staff available last month.

She said that the Seattle coaches were unable to synchronize their schedules to put on an event for July, and they decided to take a break. However, this did not deter the group. NWSL and Indoor Cloud League competitor Bill Selig scheduled two flying sessions and recruited the participants for the events.

Bill Selig and Matthias Kaminski organised both events and the lineups and turned in scores for all six categories. Deb Correia said that she was very happy to see this happen: "It is so great to see people stepping up. It will allow this event to continue to grow, and the group should be very proud of the scores they turned in!"

    Modified DeLand Aurai lineup
Three members of Florida's Rookie Class team DeLand Aurai (Alix Raymond, Leslie Eggenberger, Rodrigo Espinosa) were SkyVenture New Hampshire's opponents for the A Class sequence, with Jairo Garcia completing the lineup. Block 7 was a new competition experience for the modified Aurai lineup, and the 16-pointer was a great start into the A Class dive pool. The same Aurai lineup also posted the 23-pointer in the Rookie AA Class.

DeLand Aurai will continue in the Rookie Class at the outdoor meets this year, and the next one is coming up this weekend. Original member Cathy Luo will be back from summer vacation, and the complete lineup has another indoor training session this Thursday.

Other Florida competitors were responsible for iFLY Orlando's 16-pointer in the Rookie AAA Class. ZEUS members Amer Kassas and James Hopkins had Seth Claytor and Hal Spence in the lineup and outscored DeLand Aurai in this category. However, SkyVenture New Hampshire still won by five points, and Florida will try to improve the scores this Thursday at iFLY Orlando.
