NSL News Coverage of the FAI Indoor World Cup 2024

Did You Know...

... that Lithuanian teams will have a strong presence on Polish indoor home air at Flyspot?

Flying chamber at the Flyspot in Poland
posted Nov 6th, 2014 - Winter time has become indoor time for many teams and competitors when more and more wind tunnels were built around the world. Winter training in Florida, Arizona or Dubai is still very popular, as well, and the combination is ideal.

There is also no lack of indoor competition these days, and the teams have the opportunity to test at least their mental strength and collect additional competition experiences during the winter break.

The monthly Indoor Cloud League events offer competition on a small but regular basis for any indoor flyers in six competition classes, while several other meets resemble real outdoor competition to a certain extent.

The Hurricane Factory in Prague is hosting its monthly indoor competition tonight, and the ISR Grand Prix 2014 is coming up at the end of the month.

A new event has now been added to the indoor meet schedule, the Polish Indoor Open 2014, which is scheduled for the December 13 weekend at the Flyspot wind tunnel near Warsaw, Poland.

Magic 4 at the World Meet 2014
The Sun Path Products NSL News recently brought 4-way competition in Poland to the attention of the audience on 4 October 2014, shortly after the national championships in the eastern European country.

Four teams competed in the AAA Class at the beginning of October, and Un4given won with a 12.2 average.

The indoor competition at Flyspot in December will be much busier, and the new indoor/outdoor combination in Poland could initiate a serious upswing of 4-way competition in this country and in the area.

Seven Polish teams are registered in the traditional four NSL categories (AAA - AA - A - Rookie) at this point in time, and three additional teams have signed up in VFS 4-way, including the national team Fly Definition.

Four teams visit from neighboring Lithuania and from Russia and will challenge the Polish teams.

SolarFlakes at the World Meet 2014
Top contender in the AAA Class is probably Lithuania's national 4-way team Magic 4 who had also competed at the FAI World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2014.

Lithuania had a second national team in Prostejov. The Solar Flakes competed in 4-way Women and are now together with all other AAA Class teams on the same leaderboard at Flyspot. The SolarFlakes had launched the 2014 season at the World Challenge 2014 and will now finish off the year with another indoor competition.

The third team from Lithuania is Equinox who competed in Bedford, as well, and won the A Class bronze medals. Equinox also placed 2nd at the ESL Championship 2014. It's a strong delegation from Lithuania at the Flyspot, and the Polish teams will have to work hard to defend their home turf. The event and registration are open for any 4-way teams.
