posted Nov 28th, 2014 - The 5th Dubai International Parachuting Championship is in full swing, and four rounds have been completed in 4-way Open and 4-way Women.

Dubai welcomed the visitors from the world once again with the impressive hosting services that begin at the international airport, where the event is well promoted to the general public. The Sun Path Products NSL News witnessed how Canopy Piloting competitors Greg Windmiller and Joe Abeln were expected and serviced upon arrival.

The first four rounds in 4-way Open and 4-way Women confirm the situation that was to be expected, as the preview on 25 November 2014 explained. SDC Rhythm XP is a part of the top competition after a good start. Each of the three teams owns two highscores for a round.

NMP-PCH Hayabusa's new lineup is meeting the Canadian challenge well so far. New tail Jeroen "Bob" Nollet has been integrated as quickly as the three returning Hayabusa members promised to do. On the other hand, Evolution has caught up with the reigning world champions, literally, with the same total after four rounds.

The competition in 4-way Women was not expected to feature any serious race for the top spot. The French Girls have won each round with this unique lineup only for the 5th DIPC. Christine Malnis and Sophia Pecout compete for the first time with their new team mate Anais Maillet, while reigning world champion Laurence Herve is switching to the French 4-way Open Class team after this event.

The French team for the meet is far ahead of all other teams after Round 4, and the competition in 4-way Women is only for the 2nd place.

The battle for the silver and bronze medals in 4-way Women ($11,000 - $7,500) seems to become just as exciting as it was expected. The five teams behind the French Girls are separated by only three points from each other, and the Canadian team Torque is still in striking distance, as well.

Each of the same five teams has at least once tied the highscore for a round, and the Dubai Asaar Ladies are a strong part of this competition on home turf. Player coach Elena Chistova is back with a new lineup after an unfortunate ending at the FAI World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2014.

Dubai Asaar Black is on the team's way to confirm the 6th place at the world meet in 4-way Open. Dubai Asaar Ladies are in medal contention, and Dubai's 8-way team is the defending champion of the 4th DIPC 2013. It could become the best showing for the Dubai delegation in those three categories.
