posted Nov 29th, 2014 - The second day of Formation Skydiving competition at the 5th Dubai International Parachuting Championship came to an end after three rounds of 8-way and three rounds of 4-way VFS.

Evolution is on a lucrative $15,000 vacation in this category, where the team from Poland is the only other team. Evolution was planning to enjoy the last event of the year as much as possible, as Martin Lemay explained on 5 November 2014, and they do so.

The 8-way competition is still as competitive after three rounds as it was after Round 1. France has created a 3-point cushion with three sole highscores in each round. However, Russia and Dubai Asaar are close enough to keep pressure on the leader.

The 8-way competition in Dubai is stronger than it was last year. Monaco Vitalsea was challenging the home team for the 1st place at the 4th DIPC 2013. The winner finished with a 15.1 average a year ago.

The French Venturi lineup in Dubai currently stands with a 16.7 average and has lifted the 8-way standards. Dubai Asaar's 8-way lineup scores higher than last year and is still only in 3rd place at the moment. Russia has a stronger lineup, as former 8-way world champion Oleg Shalamykhin has joined the team.

Fly Tanay had finished with a 14.3 average in 2013, while the current lineup in Dubai has a 15.7 average on the leaderboard after three rounds. Black Cat provides the foundation (Valeriy Gredasov, Evgeny Stashchenko, Vasily Korotkov, Valentin Ilin, Vadim Niyazov on camera). Black Cat alternate Alexander Kvochur, plus Andrey Barabash, Alexey Minaev, Oleg Shalamykhin and Ruslan Azarov complete the lineup.

Russia's 8-way team at the 5th DIPC 2014 has even more former 8-way world champions in the lineup than France (Thomas Perrin-Gachadoat, Jeremie Rollett), Monaco (Martial Ferre, Paul Grisoni) and Dubai Asaar (Eliana Rodriguez, Craig Girard).

Evgeny Stashchenko, Vassili Korotkov, Alexey Minaev and Oleg Shalamykhin collected several gold medals at world meets together. The other current members of the 8-way lineup in Dubai can count on a wealth of 8-way experience and technical knowledge.

The end of the day came with an aerobatics show with the Dubai sky scrapers as the backdrop. The 4-way teams will be back in the air tomorrow in Dubai. The Sun Path Products NSL News will follow up later with scores of the ISR Grand Prix 2014.
