Did You Know...

... that NSL-TV and InTime present NMP-PCH Hayabusa's and Arizona Airspeed's newest competition videos?

Piece partners with Fastrax in 2007: Thomas Hughes, Niklas Hemlin
posted Jan 26th, 2015 - It's time to complete the coverage of the first confrontation between NMP-PCH Hayabusa and Arizona Airspeed with their new lineups at the Wind Games 2015. InTime has provided the competition videos, which allows the audience to review the meet from the beginning to the end and detect all the details.

The videos are showing Niklas Hemlin back in the Point slot that he had with Team Fastrax in 2006 and 2007. He is also back together with his piece partner of 2007, Thomas Hughes. Niklas Hemlin was Airspeed's Center Inside in 2011 and 2012 and took a 2-year break after winning the gold medals in Dubai 2012 and before coming back as the new Airspeed Point.

The first Airspeed videos of the new 2-year cycle also show Thiago Gomes back in the Tail slot that he had with SDC Rhyhtm XP for three years (2010 - 2012). He switched to Point when he joined Airspeed in 2013 and is now back in his previous slot.

First meet for the new lineup: NMP-PCH Hayabusa at the 5th DIPC 2014
The Wind Games videos are also showing Jeroen Nollet at his first indoor competition with NMP-PCH Hayabusa in the Tail slot, where he tries to catch up with 4-way world champion Roy Janssen who retired after the World Meet 2014.

Jeroen Nollet had competed once with NMP-PCH Hayabusa as the alternate in the same slot at the ESL Championship 2012. He had continued as the alternate waiting for his opportunity, which arose after the world meet last year. It was probably less challenging for him to compete at the 5th DIPC 2014 compared to the indoor competition last weekend, as NMP-PCH Hayabusa is well known for the team's high-speed indoor performance.

Jeroen Nollet did not only post his own 30.4 average, he also helped to continue with Hayabusa's 4-year streak of indoor dominance in the world by defeating Arizona Airspeed.

Thiago Gomes: Tail for SDC Rhythm XP in 2010 - 2012
The competition draw last weekend brought 19 of the 22 blocks to the teams, plus 15 of the 16 random formations. Blocks 18 (Zircon - Zircon), 20 (Piver - Viper) and 21 (Zig Zag - Marquis) were not drawn for the 10-round meet in the 14-foot flying chamber, and there was only one 3-block sequence.

The six traditional slot switchers (3,5,10,12,16,17) came in six different rounds, which made it a challenging competition draw for all teams. The sequence of Round 2 (3-4-M) offered the opportunity to avoid memory, which was taken by NMP-PCH Hayabusa, while Arizona Airspeed did not take advantage of the Block 4 finish (Monopod - Monopod).

Airspeed won the additional memory sequence in Round 2 by two points and lost the fastest sequence of the meet (Round 6 - Q,1,O,P) by four points, due to the five point deductions. More feedback related to the details can be posted at the NSL Facebook...
