NSL News Coverage of the FAI Indoor World Cup 2024

Did You Know...

... that the Golden Knights posted new team record averages in Raeford and DeLand?

posted Mar 14th, 2015 - The 16 competition rounds at the Paraclete XP Indoor and Outdoor Championship week brought different results for the four US top teams. The Sun Path Products NSL News story on 9 March 2015 explained how strongly Arizona Airspeed opened up the 2015 outdoor season and how much work is left for SDC Rhythm XP.

Rhythm posted new indoor and outdoor team record averages and still did not get any closer to the reigning US 4-way champions.

The Golden Knights did exactly the same. The 23.3 average in DeLand was the team's highest score at the first outdoor competition in the team's 5th year. The 25.4 average at Paraclete was the team's highest indoor average, and the US Army's 4-way team in 4-way Women was still not able to reduce the distance to Rhythm. However, the Golden Knights have moved further away from Carolina Turbo XP.

Golden Knights at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship
The current order between the four best US teams was established at the USPA Nationals 2014 and has not changed ever since, neither indoor nor outdoor.

The next opportunity to increase the meet averages and change the ranking order is coming up soon for SDC Rhythm XP and Golden Knights. Both teams compete at the World Challenge 2015, while Arizona Airspeed and Carolina Turbo XP will watch the leaderboard and the live streaming from home.

They will compete in different categories, as the World Challenge includes a separate competition for the teams in 4-way Women. Rhythm does not need Airspeed in Bedford for a challenging situation. NMP-PCH Hayabusa, Gavroche, SportLoto, Thunder and the French pickup team Weembi Lille (Julien Degen, Perrine Sanchez, Christine Malnis, Sophia Pecout) will offer world class competition on a level that Rhythm is looking for.

Golden Knights at the Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship
The Golden Knights do not have the same challenging situation in 4-way Women and will probably walk away with the gold medals. They are still waiting for the first direct confrontation with the French Girls, the reigning world champions in their category.

The new French Girls lineup has been in training for a while but has not posted any scores yet. Three indoor opportunities (Wind Games, Aerokart, Paraclete) went by without the new French Girls. However, the Golden Knights will still have the opportunity at Bodyflight Bedford to take a closer look at the performance of two French Girls.

Christine Malnis and Sophia Pecout have a reunion with their 2014 world champion team mate Perrine Sanchez, and Julien Degen is the 4th member. The Sun Path Products NSL News will once again look across the two leaderboards, and the Golden Knights will surely do the same...
