... that Carolina Turbo XP won $800 in the Skins Game of the Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship?

$800 in Skins Game: Carolina Turbo XP
posted Apr 11th, 2015 - The aftermath of the Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship 2015 cannot be complete without the results of the Shamrock Showdown Skins Game.

The outdoor season opener in DeLand has included cash awards for the winners since the annual event was launched in 2001. The best teams on the top of the leaderboard take home some cash for their world class performances, while there have always been additional prizes for all participating teams, as well.

All AAA Class teams have even had the chance to win cash prizes for some of the rounds in the Shamrock Showdown Skins Game. A sophisticated handicap system allows all teams to win prize money paid out for half of the rounds after handicap.

$400 in Skins Game: Black Cat
The Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship 2015 included the Skins Game once again. The handicap is usually assigned to each team after five rounds in a 10-round competition. The 2015 event was cut short to six rounds due to bad weather on the first two days.

As a result of the shortened competition, the handicap was assigned after the first three rounds, and $400 would be paid out for each of the remaining three rounds for a 6-round competition.

The detailed leaderboard of the Shamrock Showdown Skins Game shows the scores after handicap and how close the teams were to each other in the race for the cash prizes. Carolina Turbo XP turned out to be the lucky winner of $800 total. Black Cat won the $400 for Round 6.

$3,000 for 1st place: Arizona Airspeed
Carolina Turbo XP had a slow Round 2 and came back with the best part of the team's 6-round competition in Rounds 3, 4 and 5 where they outscored the Golden Knights by one point. The combination of the slow Round 2 and the peak in Rounds 4 and 5 won the money.

However, the scores after handicap were extremely close in Round 5, and Turbo won the $400 only by 0.05 points over Teiwaz, who were another 0.04 points ahead of the Golden Knights.

Black Cat had the team's peak performance in Round 6 and walked away with the $400 after the 31-pointer, which wrapped up an impressive 21.8 average for the 6-round meet. Arizona Airspeed took the $3,000 for the 1st place, SDC Rhythm XP won $1,500 and the Golden Knights donated their $500 for a military fund-raising project.
