... that France may have secured the first set of gold medals?
Fun Flag in Danish possession

The 8way teams are in the air for Round 8, and they did not know how the leaderboard looked like after Round 7. It was probably not really necessary this time, as Aerodyne Maubeuge was most likely still in the hunt. It is unlikely that any of the top teams would be able to outscore the opponent by four points in one round.
Dubai Asaar's 8way lineup picked up a point on South Africa, while M8Trix tied the 10-pointer. The Brit Chicks are defending the 6th place and have not been judged yet. Brazil's CTR Optimum 8way lineup also stole a point from the Qatar Falcons and are only two points behind the last semifinals slot.
In the meantime, France has probably secured the first gold medal in Formation Skydiving competition. Team4speed is now going on a world champion pace that Dubai Nexus and SDC Standard XP are not keeping up with. The French team now has a 6-point lead over Dubai Nexus and will not give it up with their amount of skills and experiences. Team4speed are the defending VFS 4way world champions.
NSL-TV has edited and uploaded the videos of Round 5 in the 4way Open Class. It shows Arizona Airspeed launching the Diamond of Block 10 the "traditional" way. Airspeed was famous for diving the Diamond and has changed the exit technique for this block.
Other than that, Round 5 was the only time so far where the three top contenders in 4way Open had no point deductions altogether and tied their scores at the same time. Round 5 literally brought no changes at all.
However, it was a big round for Sky Panthers Barkli who got much closer to Evolution with the 21-pointer. Satori lost two points on the hill due to camera trouble and allowed Ex3mo to get closer, which continued in Round 6. The Italian team is four points behind the precious 6th place, and Satori has to wake up again. Last not least some breaking news: the Fun Flag is in Danish possession at the moment...
