Did You Know...

... that Sophie Dérémaux is back in the Aerodyne Deep Blue Defenders lineup?

Aerodyne Deep Blue Defenders 2012 lineup
posted Oct 6th, 2012 - The NSL News has to continue with bad news, as they have all been directly related to the upcoming Mondial 2012 in Dubai.

First ISB Air Remscheid out of the game in the female 4way competition, then Germany's EADS 8way lineup without Thomas Spielvogel - and now the next news coming from France.

Laurence Hervé, Aerodyne Deep Blue Defenders' Point, broke her ankle last Wednesday and will not be able to compete in Dubai.

The accident happened at the landing of an accuracy training jump during a military camp. French national coach Jérémie Rollett confirmed that Laurence Hervé cannot compete with the team in Dubai.

He also said that he has already found a substitute. Former team member Sophie Deremaux will replace Laurence Hervé in the Point slot. She is able to arrange her job and family situation in a way that allows her to accommodate the trip to Dubai and the training leading into the competition.

Jérémie Rollett said that the team will still be able to use the remaining two months efficiently and go well prepared to the World Championship of Formation Skydiving. France is the defending gold medalist in the female 4way category.

Sophie Deremaux is now the second gold medalist of 2010 in the current lineup. She was the Center Outside for Aerokart Deep Blue, and Amelie Tirman is still in the Tail slot. Sophie Deremaux will now switch to the Point position where she is naturally cross-trained as a front piece partner.

Sophie Deremaux and Laurence Hervé were actually front piece partners when the new lineup was put together at the end of the 2010 season. Laurence Hervé was one of the two new team members. Sophie Deremaux then stepped back at the end of the 2011 season and got married earlier this year. Stephanie Texier took her slot.

Stephanie Texier and Laurence Hervé were the new front piece partners. Both have been training and competing together in the French military teams since 2007. The Aerodyne Deep Blue Defenders now have two Center Outsides, and Sophie Deremaux switches to the Point position.

She and Amelie Tirman are the most experienced female 4way competitors in France, and she will be able to fill the slot adequately. However, the change is surely an additional obstacle for the French team on the way to defending the gold medals successfully. The other main obstacle are the Golden Knights...
