Did You Know...

... that the 110way world record at SkyQuest 2013 was a real Kaleidoscope Dive?

Skies broke open on Friday afternoon
posted Nov 23rd, 2013 - It was an indoor and outdoor record weekend, which is not over yet in DeLand.

The ISR Grand Prix 2013 had record participation, while the Kaleidoscope Divers booked a new world record for bigway sequentials at SkyQuest 2013. The last jump of the day brought the success that the bigway fans had aimed for under BJ Worth's guidance this year.

It was a challenging task after bad weather had not allowed any jumping on Thursday. The nerves of the bigway participants became even more sensitive when the weather was the same on Friday morning - heavy rain. However, the skies broke in the afternoon, and the three jumps were very promising, as the Sun Path Products NSL News reported yesterday.

Next to perfection: 110way Sequential World Record
Saturday then turned out to be an emotional rollercoaster. The expectations were high after the perfect ending on Friday with the completion of the first 110way formation after the first attempt.

Unfortunately, the group's performance on Saturday morning was not even close to the one on Friday afternoon, and the first jumps were below standard. It became better through the course of the day and after a few changes in the lineup.

Eventually, the last jump of the day turned out to be next to perfection, and the new world record sequence was complete. BJ Worth had recovered from his cold in time to be with his Kaleidoscope Divers on Saturday. The world record sequence was a real Kaleidoscope Dive that changed its shape significantly from the first formation to the second. The Kaleidoscope Divers will now try to make it a 3-point sequence on Sunday morning.
