posted Mar 15th, 2015 - The Russian indoor teams and competitors seem to be well prepared for the upcoming World Challenge 2015 where three teams from Russia (SportLoto, Red Cat, Neugomon) are registered for the AAA/Open Class competition.

Most of the best Russian 4-way competitors came together for a 5-round meet at the FreeZone Moscow tunnel on February 28th. The XOteam, winner of the Polish Indoor Open 2014, took the next 1st place in Moscow after a 1-point battle with Tarasov's 3 Friends, now with new member Yuri Drozdov.

Yuri Drozdov was a SportLoto member until the World Challenge 2014. Then he competed for FlyStation and joined the XOteam this year.

The team in 2nd place was recruited only for this meet. Nikolay Tarasov is actually a 2XL member, and Alexander Golovkin trained and competed with Black Cat and Sunny Wind in the past. Danila Boroveev is a FlyStation member, and Egor Gusev will re-join his SportLoto lineup for this year's World Challenge (Andrew Kharitonov, Dmitry Samokhval and a 4th Russian top competitor).

Egor Gusev's SportLoto team mate Andrew Kharitonov used the 5-round competition to warm up for the World Challenge, as well. He competed for Marussia and finished in 4th place. He had Dima Komkov (Ocean 5), Oxana Baranova (Wolfshound) and Anna Kournikova (2XL) in his lineup, who will compete for Neuromom at the World Challenge 2015.

SportLoto finished in 5th place with a 24.3 average at the World Challenge 2014 and has been one of the top contenders for the unofficial title of the best amateur team in the world in the past years.

Sky 45 was back with the same original lineup after a 1-year break from competition and finished with a team record average in 3rd place. The first Sky 45 scores on a SKYLEAGUE.COM leaderboard were posted in June 2008.

Two former Barkli 4-way and 8-way members, Sergey Shenin and Vladimir Pavlenko, competed for Barguzin at the indoor competition. They are former 8-way world champions for the Russian Formation Skydiving delegations in 2001 and 2003 and won several additional world meet 4-way and 8-way medals over the years.

Last not least, Sunny Wind also came back with a new lineup. Aleksey Nevorotov and Alexander Tychinski now have Vladimir Arutunov (FlyStation) and Dmitry Samokhval in their 2015 lineup. Dmitry Samokhval will also re-join SportLoto for the World Challenge 2015.
