Did You Know...

... that Clementine Le Bohec and Dennis Praet celebrated their gold medals in a very special way?

NMP PCH HayaBusa vs. Arizona Airspeed before Round 10
posted Oct 12th, 2018 - It required all skills of the meet director, pilots and participants to complete all rounds of the FAI World Meet 2018 on Friday.

The day started once again with great weather, while the forecast for the second half of the day was not a guarantee for the conclusion of the meet. However, the joint efforts of all parties involved in the weather game were eventually successful just in time before the skies closed up again for any skydiving activities.

It was an extremely exciting finish in many ways, and the latest NSL-TV video clip features all of it live, beginning in the stadium, continuing in the boarding then in the landing area and finishing off with the celebrations in the stadium when the judged videos were shown on the large screens.

The 4-way Open Class showdown between NMP PCH HayaBusa and Arizona Airspeed ended like the audience had forecast it in the poll that was set up on Thursday evening when it became clear that both teams would enter the last round tied in 1st place. The Belgian 4-way world champions had the better Round 10 and defended the title successfully against a challenger who was much stronger than most observers had expected.

Aerodyne Weembi Girls won the 4-way Women title miles ahead of all other teams in this category and would have won the bronze medals in the 4-way Open Class competition.

NMP PCH HayaBusa and Arizona Airspeed after Round 10

The Golden Knights tied their own standing 33-pointer world record in Round 10, where several other 8-way teams posted new national record numbers. The Russian 8-way team from Tanay won two rounds and tied two more against the U.S. world champions and will try again on home turf in two years.

Another real-life tie took place in the landing area after Round 10, and the NSL News happened to witness the event by surprise. HayaBusa point Dennis Praet had saved his own very special celebration for last. He and his team mates waited in the landing area until the Aerodyne Weembi Girls were back from their Round 10, which sealed the gold medals for France in their official event.

He proposed on his knee with a wedding band to Clementine Le Bohec, who did not know that this was his plan. However, she did not hesitate to accept, and this became the happiest end of the FAI World Meet 2018 - together with two new gold medals as the starting point for the Belgian/French family connection...
