Did You Know...

... that new videos show a flawless French 4-way team?

French 4-way exit in Round 2
posted Sep 2nd, 2009 - Wednesday morning begins with a little treat for the NSL News audience. CamScore provided some footage, which made it much easier to put together a few jumps for reviews. The first clip features the 4-way teams on the top of the leaderboard, including all three rounds of the French national team, Aerodyne Cypres Maubeuge.

It really is a treat, as these three rounds are almost flawless and present a French 4-way team that is five and more points ahead of the best teams in the world, except the US teams. The Airspeed world champions will probably take a very good look at these videos.

The same clip also features the other 4-way teams on the top of the leaderboard in current ranking order: Hayabusa Defence, Black Cat and Sinapsi. Other videos will be uploaded later, including 8-way and Vertical Formation Skydiving.

The poll on the event page for the 4-way Open Class mirrors the current rankings. The audience seems to anticipate a race for the gold medals between France and Hayabusa, which would make it a copy of the finish at the World Cup in 2007. France is currently about as far ahead of Haybabusa in the polls as in points after three rounds. There is also a forum for feedback on the results page of the polls with the first few comments. It is free and open for the public after signing up.

The French 4-way team may already see the first results of its new strategy. Guillaume Bernier, Mathieu Bernier, Julien Degen and Jeremie Rollet were still training and competing in 4-way and 8-way both at the World Meet 2008 in France.

Then they quit the 8-way team and began to focus only on 4-way, even though Mathieu Bernier is still a member of the new 8-way lineup. The NSL News will try to arrange an NSL Talk with the French delegation to get more feedback of the new situation.

There are other good news this morning: the Fun Flag is flying. The next update will bring the evidence.
