Did You Know...

... that HF Flying Circus moved up to the 24+ level?

A Class guests from Poland: Ladies Power
posted Jan 12th, 2019 - The new competition year begins on a very fast 4-way meet pace, extremely fast for the teams in the Czech Republic.

The scores of the January meet of the World Tunnel League at the Hurricane Factory were just posted and have already moved into the background, as more recent results from the Czech Republic replaced them on the front page.

Thirteen Czech teams and Skydive University Slovakia attended the WTL/ETL January meet, and twelve of them were back a few days later for the Czech Open Indoor Nationals with ten different sequences at the same place. They were joined by three teams from Poland and FS ONE from Belgium.

The WTL/ETL meet in the middle of the week served as a perfect warmup opportunity for the national indoor championships with international participation.

The purpose of the World Tunnel League events is in fact a more serious opportunity for competition practice for 4-way teams once every month.

A Class guests from Poland: MAD Team
The NSL News had reported just recently after the WTL/ETL December meet how HF Flying Circus' scoring progression has been accelerating, and the Czech team once again did not stop after the 23.4 in December.

In fact, HF Flying Circus has been rushing through the usual scoring benchmarks since the beginning of the Czech indoor winter season in October (20.4 - 21.8 - 22.8 - 23.4) by picking up an average point at each meet.

The December 23+ average was also a very short stop on that scoring level, as Flying Circus posted two 24+ averages (24.6 - 24.2) this week.

Flying Circus is well ahead of HF Bad Boys (24.2 - 23.1) by now and officially qualified as the Czech national indoor team for the FAI Indoor World Meet 2019 in April.

Bad Boys came closer within a week, after the 19-point difference at the WTL/ETL meet. However, the short time frame after a long break of several months was not enough for the previous Czech national team to challenge the successor seriously.

HF Bad Boys had competed for the Czech Republic at the last FAI Indoor World Meet in Montreal 2017 and finished in 11th place. HF Flying Circus is now on track to place a 4-way team from the Czech Republic in the Top 10 for the first time.

Bad Boys member and Czech 4-way Godfather Jan Klapka will manage the trip of the Czech delegation to Weembi Lille in April, where his son Jakub Klapka is aiming at the Top 10 spot with HF Flying Circus. Czech 4-way junior team HF Cubs will pursue the next set of FAI medals for the Czech Republic at the same event.

The HF Cubs did not perform on their usual world class level at the national indoor championships. The Cubs juniors had posted another impressive 20+ average in the AAA Class at the WTL/ETL meet and did not have their complete lineup available for the next ten rounds on the AA Class leaderboard.

Viktorie Nováková fell ill before the second competition, and her team mates had HF Dragonflies junior Nela Kadecková in their lineup. Sabina Cioleková, Karolina Henkova and Adela Vesela had to scramble their slots to accommodate the substitute.
