Did You Know...

... that Airspeed's 27-pointer is now on NSL-TV?

Craig Girard and Jack Jefferies: just warming up
posted Oct 15th, 2009 - Arizona Airspeed recovered and maintained the 4-point lead in Round 6 after losing two points to the Golden Knights in Round 5. The Airspeed 2009 lineup is warming up jump by jump. Point Jack Jefferies expressed his own feelings about the exit: "I feel like I am slowly getting back to the familiar feeling of a good exit."

It must be difficult for Golden Knights and Paraclete XP to watch Airspeed perform on the same level as the trained teams and getting better round by round. However, Airspeed's final position and scores may not even matter that much. It is quite unlikely that this lineup will compete for the USA in 8-way next year in Russia. It is more likely that Airspeed will hand down the 8-way slot in the US delegation to the next team.

Greetings from Airspeed fan Nathan Kirkby
The Golden Knights are eager to take it with their 4-year plan. This means that Paraclete XP has to place second if they want to compete in 8-way at the World Championship of Formation Skydiving next year in Russia. Paraclete XP is only two points behind the US Army team after six rounds.

The NSL News has uploaded the video of Airspeed's Round 4. It's the fast sequence where a well trained team might have had a chance to get close to the 8-way world record. Airspeed scored 27 points for the fast sequence and outscored the two other two top teams by four points.

Airspeed has many fans around the world. Airspeed's Mark Kirkby's biggest fan is his son Nathan. His wife Sandy said that they have been following the action at the 2009 USPA National Skydiving Championships very closely on the NSL website. A few more days, a few more jumps and a few more USPA titles - then Daddy will be back home...
