The newspaper also reports regularly of other issues related to the large skydiving community in DeLand. Some of the articles are still posted at the media pages of the NSL website.

The latest article, published on Wednesday, January 11, 2006, and written by Elizabeth Owens, offers a profile of Solly Williams. "Extreme achievements keep skydiver motivated" is the headline of a story that reviews Solly's skydiving career from a different perspective.

The NSL Profiles posted the Solly Williams story already years ago. However, Solly's NSL Profile ends in 2000 and surely deserves an update. The NSL News included the current world champion several times as a coach and world class competitor ever since. The actual profile story is still out of date.

The creation of DeLand Majik, the team's efforts on the way to the highest point average in the history of 4-way competition, and finally the crowning of the DeLand 4-way world champions in 2004 has to be added to Solly Williams' NSL Profile story the sooner the better.

Some things have not changed between 2000 and last week's article. "Happy Gilmore" was already Solly's favorite movie when the NSL Profile was posted. He is a well skilled and passionate golfer in his off-time. His favorite books are still the same: "Reach for the Sky" by Douglas Bader and the Bible.

Solly's style of music seems to be a little bit more specific by now. He chose to listen to "anything from Angus Young (ACDC) to Bach and Beethoven, J.J. Cale and Lloyd Cole" in 2000, while "any music by the rock group U2" is his favorite these days.

The newspaper article offers more insights of the daily life Solly Williams recently enjoys in DeLand. However, there is no mention of any team activities besides his coaching agenda. DeLand Majik seems to be in hibernation, and the NSL News does not know more than the Daytona Beach News Journal...
