Did you know that the Mideast Skydiving League welcomed a new Rookie Class team?
posted: Sep 8th, 2011 The August meet of the Mideast Skydiving League at Start Skydiving introduced a new 4-way collegiate team that competed in the Rookie Class for the first time. A team of the University of Cincinnati had disbanded earlier after the graduation of one of its members. Two students were left looking for a collegiate team. Two other students luckily happened to be at Start Skydiving, one from the University of Indiana-Bloomington and one from the University of Denver. Did you know that Tenacity is back with the complete 2011 lineup?
posted: Jul 29th, 2011 Tenacity was the only AA Class team that competed last weekend, even though a few more teams were on site at Start Skydiving for the meet. MESL Director and Tenacity member Joan Esson reported that there was a shortage of videographers on the meet weekend. Bushwackers and Dynamic Attempt could not present their jumps to the judges and used the time for training instead, It was still a special meet for the all-female team of the Mideast Skydiving League. posted: Jun 22nd, 2011 Two of the 38 teams last weekend competed in the Mideast Skydiving League at Start Skydiving. Both came back after also attending the MESL 2011 season opener in May. Jenacity competed in the AA Class, while the Bushwackers came back for the second meet in the Rookie Class competition. MESL Director and Tenacity/Jenacity member Joan Esson reported that the weather was very challenging last weekend at Start Skydiving. There was rain on Saturday morning, and good spotting was essential to avoid clouds. The weather conditions limited the Rookie Class team to only completing four of the six anticipated... (more)

Did you know that last weekend featured three generations of MESL leadership?
posted: May 24th, 2011 The NSL News reported on 21 May 2011 that Tenacity members would compete in Florida and the Mideast at the same time last weekend. It really happened, even though the actual team name does not appear on any of last weekend's leaderboards. However, Jenacity comes pretty close to the original team name. The NSL News assumes that the "J" at the beginning of the name is somehow related to substitute "J"ohn Hart "J"r. who filled a slot for a missing Tenacity member. posted: Jul 21st, 2010 Last weekend's leaderboard is complete, 58 teams participated in all four categories. The AAA Class leaderboard has been evaluated carefully with previous stories. An additional interesting aspect is the fact that the Top 5 teams represent five different countries (Finland - USA - France - Norway - Germany). Two of those five teams (Pro Team, X3M4S Elements) will soon travel to Menzelinsk in Russia and compete at the World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2010. Did you know that the Mideast Skydiving League teams were very competitive on May 22nd?
posted: May 31st, 2010 The Mideast Skydiving League launched its 2010 season on the first multi-event weekend on May 22, together with teams from Italy, United Kingdom, Northern Plains and Carolina. Four teams competed at the new location of Start Skydiving in Middletown, and they were all in the competitive mix of that weekend's leaderboard. Team Start competed in the AAA Class competition and had well know names in the lineup. John Hart and Niklas Hemlin used to compete with one of the best 4-way teams in the world, Team Fastrax.
