posted Dec 7th, 2012 - Today's Good Morning from Dubai show features Regan Tetlow and Ron Kendall both on the podium where the award ceremony will take place later today. Regan's work is pretty much over, and he uses the rest of the time to relax and enjoy being on the other side of the microphone.

He commented on how it felt to interview Dubai's Crown Prince a few days ago after a volleyball game. It was not a big deal to him, as His Highness is not behaving any differently than any other skydiver, he said. He dresses casually and behaves (almost)... the same way as all skydivers on and off the dropzone.

Rob Kendall said that Felix Baumgartner will most likely meet with CYPRES inventor Helmut Cloth later today, who provided him on the recent trip close to space with a special CYPRES device. Both are at the competition site to meet friends and business partners. The award ceremony in the afternoon is the next highlight of the day.

The next round of meet videos features the 8way teams in Round 7. The NSL News also added the point deductions per round for each team to the extended leaderboard.

The numbers show that the two top teams also had the cleanest performances. Only Dubai Asaar matched the total of only two penalties in the 10-round meet.

The review of the 8way competition also shows that Aerodyne Aerokart lost the meet early in Round 3 and Round 4. The French 8way team won or tied the following six rounds. However, the total advantage of three points in those six rounds was not enough to compensate for the heavy losses in the two early rounds. In fact, France also had the upper hand by a point after the first two rounds. The Golden Knights peaked in Round 3 and Round 4 and maintained the earned advantage throughout the remainder of the meet, no matter how hard France tried to catch up. The French pressure probably helped to push the Golden Knights to the new record average.
