... that Felix Baumgartner is hoping for a trip to the moon?

Felix Baumgartner in Dubai - Trip to the moon next?
posted Dec 7th, 2012 - Regan Tetlow and Rob Kendall mentioned a visit by Felix Baumgartner at this morning's NSL News update from the Mondial Dubai 2012. It happened by coincidence for the NSL News that just an hour later all work in the media center was interrupted, as the famous high-altitude explorer indeed appeared right in front of the NSL Reality TV camera. The latest NSL News update in the works was postponed to capture the special event.

NSL News goal was to connect CYPRES inventor Helmut Cloth, who is also present in Dubai, and Felix Baumgartner at some point in time. There was no opportunity and no chance since the Austrian visitor left within the hour after the media appearance. However, Helmut Cloth may have to think of an AAD for a trip to the moon, as Felix Baumgartner mentioned this as his next trip. He was not really too serious about it though...

Silver medals for United Arab Emirates: Dubai Nexus
The NSL News was also looking for an opportunity to finally meet with Dubai Nexus who won the first set of medals in history for the United Arab Emirates. It was not easy to make an appointment with the team, as team member and spiritual leader Jason Russell is heavily involved in running the event at the same time. He is the CEO of Skydive Dubai with an amazing career from the very beginnings of the whole Dubai skydiving project. The NSL News will get back to this topic later.

However, the opportunity for an NSL Talk with the complete lineup came at the end of the day and right before the award ceremony where Nexus would have the honor to take the silver medal position on the podium, next to SDC Standard XP (3rd) and the winner Team4speed from France.

The latest meet videos feature the Top 4 teams in VHS 4way in Round 2 and Round 3. It was the time in the VFS meet where Nexus was seriously threatening the reigning world champions from France. Nexus was in 1st place with a 6-point lead after winning the first two rounds. Team4speed started the comeback in Round 3 after coach Philippe Schorno had to play all of his coaching cards to get his team back on track. Nexus was still very proud of the silver medal position at the end of the 8-round meet.
